Self-Introduction

Goal Statement

Goal: Increase the speed of my reading and listening in Japanese.

Activities:
Watch a half hour of anime once a week and try shadowing for short sections of it.
Study words in hiragana and katakana for 10-15 minutes a day.
Go to language table as often as I can and begin going to office hours once a week.

こんばんわ!!!

I'm Eaman! My username is Namae because namae stands for "name" and Eaman is namae backwards, soooooooooo... I know right? So original!!!

Alright, so I signed up  for this class because, like most of you, I'm into anime. I got into it myself the summer before my freshman year of high school because one of my older brothers (who is named Shire... Shire Shire, yeah), was into it himself! I began watching the shows he was watching as well, and soon enough I found myself liking it too!

My favorite anime is Clannad because it's so sad... and good... and also really sad.

I've also signed up because I wanted to take a new language. I took French for three years in high school, and I really wanted to try something new. Japanese seems really different from French, so yeah!

As far as the class goes, I'm liking it so far! I'd really like to learn Japanese and maybe go visit Japan one day. Maybe during my time at Princeton?

Learning the alphabet is going to be a bit difficult though, especially once we go into Kanji. Right now my handwriting when trying out Hiragana is horrible... Does this mean I'm horrible, then? v____v

I think I'm done posting for now, so じゃあな! Or しつれい します to Sato-sensei.
